Program 04 / Search & report evaluation
Evidence behind every answer.
Explore open-ended research tasks with explicit standards for source quality, useful synthesis, and fit to the user's needs.
01 / The task
Start with a concrete assignment.
Compare three approaches to a business problem and produce a sourced recommendation that respects the brief's constraints.
Input materials
A decision brief, audience, budget, time horizon, and source policy. Define what is already known, which questions need research, and what a useful recommendation must enable.
02 / The workflow
Carry the task through.
- 01
Translate the request into decision criteria and search questions, noting missing information that could change the answer.
- 02
Gather relevant evidence, compare source dates and authority, and record disagreements instead of flattening them into certainty.
- 03
Compare options against the same criteria, explain trade-offs, and propose an actionable next step with supporting citations.
03 / The deliverables
Work you can inspect.
- 01Research brief
- 02Evidence map
- 03Reference report
- 04Scoring rubric
04 / The evaluation
Make the criteria explicit.
Check citation support, coverage, reasoning, uncertainty, and whether the recommendation can be acted on.
- Each material factual claim is supported by a relevant, accessible source.
- Advice respects the user's constraints and addresses the decision behind the question.
- The report separates evidence, assumptions, and judgment, with uncertainty reflected in the recommendation.
Delivery boundary
Open-ended tasks can admit several good answers. The rubric evaluates support and usefulness against the brief; its weights are not measured model performance.
